Hi everybody.
Here are some random thoughts about my recent works....

About my Art & Design Philosophy...
We live in a world of so much consumption and waste that I decided to incorporate as much re-cycled and surplus materials* as possible in all my designs… I achieve great satisfaction in knowing that I am able to transform surplus and discarded materials into art and receive even more pleasure when I see the smiles from those who enjoy my work”.

On My lighting philosophy and lamp series…
“Light and color can affect our mood in different ways. My eco-design lamps are not only useful in their purpose of lighting a space, they also invite interaction… my lamps are able to move, slide and bend into infinite combinations to suit a user’s mood or need, in a sense making “light come alive”.*

On my new “Talking Box” series…
“I see so much negative news in the media that I needed to express meaningful and positive messages in my “Talking Box” series. These are also eco-designed with re-cycled and surplus materials.* Each original work comes with its own 30 second companion multi-media digital stop-motion animation. The animation gives the impression the work “talks” directly to you, -- you feel the message. Because everything is so digital and mobile nowadays, the animation is especially relevant to reach more people through social, and it’s also a marvelous way for people to enjoy their “Talking Box” on the go with their friends and family.”

*LiliMarQ Studios, except for electrical hardware, uses materials from business and industry that might be normally thrown away like overstock, surplus, unwanted items, as well as other re-cycled materials.
